About the Studio
Bookings and Arrivals We recommend booking your class online in advance to secure your spot. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available. Classes are capped at 20 students to maintain a comfortable and supportive environment. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before class begins so you have time to check in, set up, and settle in. Studio doors lock once class begins to help minimize disruption and allow class to start on time.
New Students Students of all experience levels are welcome. For class, we recommend bringing a yoga mat, a towel, and water. If you don’t have your equipment, mats, blocks, and straps are available for use at the studio. If it’s your first time practicing with us, please arrive a few minutes early and introduce yourself to the teacher. We’re happy to answer any questions and help you get settled. You’re always encouraged to listen to your body, take breaks when needed, and modify poses as necessary.
Cancellations & Schedule Changes We do our best to keep classes on the schedule whenever possible, even if only one student is signed up. If we do need to cancel a class, you will be notified at least one hour before the scheduled start time and any class credit will be returned to your account. If you’re unable to attend a class you’ve booked, we kindly ask that you cancel as early as possible so another student has the opportunity to attend.
Hands-On Assists Our default approach is not to offer hands-on assists. We prioritize creating a space where students feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore their practice in their own way. Verbal cues and demonstrations are our primary methods of guidance. If you would like to receive hands-on assists, you may place a glass heart near your mat to indicate your consent to the instructor. If no heart is present, we will assume you prefer not to receive hands-on assists. You are always welcome to change your preference at any time.
Community Access Program At The Heart Center, we believe that financial circumstances should never be a barrier to practice. For this reason, we offer a limited number of complimentary class cards each year through our Community Access Program. Each card includes 10 classes and is provided free of charge, no questions asked. This program operates on an honor system, and we trust our community to use it with integrity and care. To request a Community Access class card, simply email info@theheartcenteryoga.com and we will add it to your account.
Still have questions? If you don’t see your question answered here, feel free to reach out to us directly. We’re always happy to help.
